A 20-year-old computer technician has become popular online for his digitally altered photos of svelte celebrities and animated characters made to look at least 100 pounds heavier. Among those who’ve been Photoshopped by David Lopera are Katy Perry, Mila Kunis and ‘Frozen’ character Elsa.

Not so for Spanish artist David Lopera: He uses photo manipulation to make svelte stars look 10 times heavier.
Lopera told the Daily News on Tuesday that he digitally alters pictures of some of the world’s sexiest celebrities because he wants to show that plus-size women “can be beautiful too,” and hopes to “change people’s mind about beauty standards.”
The 20-year-old computer technician embarked on his unique hobby after a manipulated photo of Katy Perry’s cover for her 2008 album “One of the Boys” went viral once he shared it on Deviantart, an online community of user-made artwork, last year.

It only takes about three to four hours for Lopera to make his popular artworks. Despite the number of requests he receives, he told The News he does “95% of (his) work totally free.”
Lopera, whose goal is to make Photoshopping work his full-time job, said in a statement, “I would love to dedicate my life to this.”
“Look at my pictures and you will see that big is beautiful ... but there are many people today who don’t agree with that,” he said.
“However, when they see my gorgeous, fat celebrities, I think they might realize how wrong they are.”
