Married drama teacher, 30, loses her license after French kissing 17-year-old student during a screening of Aladdin
A former high school drama instructor from Florida has lost her teaching license for kissing a 17-year-old male student during a screening of Aladdin.The illicit romance between Jessica Rivera, a married Lake Worth High School teacher, and the boy took place in November 2013, according to police, and involved 'prolonged kissing,' the exchange of explicit text messages and inappropriate touching.
Rivera, 30, was terminated in February 2014, but no criminal charges were filed because she and the student had not have sex together, according to a state report.

Officials with the School District of Palm Beach County learned of the tryst from the parents of the 17-year-old's friends and then contact police, reported Sun Sentinel.

When interviewed by investigators, the 17-year-old Lake Worth High student said he first got the know Rivera when he volunteered to do the lighting for a school play in October and November 2013.
According to the teen, soon after Rivera began sending him text messages saying she wanted to kiss him and that her marriage was on the rocks.
After the play was over, Jessica Rivera hosted a party to celebrate the theater production where she brought a cake and a DVD of the Disney classic Aladdin.
While the students watched the movie, Rivera and the 17-year-old boy sat in the back of the auditorium and French kissed for a quarter of the 90-minute animated feature, or about 20 minutes, according to the state report.
The boy later told police that the married drama teacher also put her hand on his upper thigh over his pants.
Rivera and the 17-year-old had no further physical contact.
When questioned by police about her encounter with the student, the 30-year-old educator admitted to the incident and acknowledged that she knew what she was doing with the minor was wrong.
